Calacatta X Carrara

Both marble stones are sourced in the quarries of Carrara, Italy. But even though they come from the same mountain, these two stones have many differences.

Carrara marble is easier to find and is produced in abundance. It comes in shades of grey with soft veining. Compared to other marbles, Carrara has a more subtle look.

Calacatta has a whiter background with darker and more dramatic veining. Calacatta is much rarer and is considered one of the most luxurious sought-after marbles.
